Meet Bruce, The Master Planner

August 25, 2019

“We have a lot of wonderful people here — everyone is accessible and easy to work with.”

ABOUT BRUCE

When you walk through a StyleCraft home, it’s no exaggeration to suggest that you’re getting a peek inside Bruce’s brain. As our Architectural Services Manager for the past five-plus years, Bruce creates new Master Plans and rejuvenates existing ones, ensuring our homes Live Up from the moment they’re committed to blueprints to the time homebuyers first walk through the door — and well beyond. He also runs point on our permitting process, as well as creating and maintaining lot-specific plans. When he’s not connecting the dots between our floor plans and homebuyers, he enjoys blazing a trail in the Great Outdoors.

DESCRIBE YOUR LIVE UP MOMENT — THE MOMENT YOU KNEW STYLECRAFT WAS RIGHT FOR YOU

“The first time I walked through a floor plan that I had only previously only seen from behind my desk. It’s amazing to see your vision — a vision shaped by our bright team and homeowner feedback — come to life before your eyes.”

DESCRIBE YOUR TYPICAL DAY

“I work at a desk on the third floor with the rest of the CAD department, along with our Land Department and our two Sales Managers. When you’re creating and releasing new floor plans, patience is a must. Producing floor plans that reflect homebuyers within each of StyleCraft’s lifestyles can be a meticulous and lengthy process.”

YOU CAN NEVER SHOW UP AT STYLECRAFT WITHOUT…

“I believe that communication skills are critical. We work across every department and coordinate with multiple third-parties to ensure our homes measure up from multiple perspectives: compliancy, craftsmanship, value, and livability, to name a few.”

AND THE HIGHLIGHT IS…

“I really enjoy prototype walk-throughs — when our team tours an under-construction floor plan for the first time, analyzing what works within the space. In addition, I enjoy creating new Master Plans, which are any new additions to our floor plan portfolio. Master Plans are the culmination of so many bits of input — from following building codes to addressing lot specifications, and coordinating across departments to ensure our product development procedures are met. Then there’s all the creativity and collaboration that bring these pieces together into this one cohesive plan.”
